Domaine de la Cendrillon
The Domaine de la Cendrillon became the property of the Joyeux family in 1750, marking the beginning of its winemaking history. In 2000, while still working in industry, Robert Joyeux took the reins of the estate, supported by his wife and their eight children.
Domaine de La Cendrillonproduces a variety of grape varieties across diverse terroirs, providing the winemaker with an exceptional aromatic palette. It also stands out for its “exotic” grape varieties such as Albarinho and Verdejo—a sought-after uniqueness. The wines of Domaine de La Cendrillon are renowned for their freshness, balance, finesse, and elegance.
The Domaine de La Cendrillon vineyard spans 50 hectares, including about 15 hectares of young vines (between 2 and 15 years old), all planted on the borders of the Fontfroide and Boutenac terroirs.
Convinced that great wines are the result of a vibrant and preserved environment, the estate transitioned to organic farming and obtained its ECOCERT certification in 2013. Extreme care is taken in the vineyard to produce healthy, complex grapes. These vineyard practices are complemented by cover cropping between the rows, the use of sheep manure as fertilizer, and water stress management through drip irrigation.
