“A delicately fruity and floral nose; on the palate, it is supple, smooth, and very aromatic, with fine tannins and freshness. Elegant and well-balanced. ” (The Bettane & Desseauve Guide to French Wines 2016). A Corbières with a silky attack, developing well-structured and discreet tannins, and a lovely freshness that beautifully carries the aromatic expression... The archetype of a great bottle!

Rated Estate (2017 Guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, though we are unable to offer a general assessment of the style of its entire range)
About the wine:
A delicately fruity and floral nose; on the palate, it is supple, smooth, and very aromatic, with fine tannins and a refreshing quality. Elegant and well-balanced.
About the estate:
Acquired by the Sichel family nearly 20 years ago, Château Trillol is beautifully situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, at an altitude of 400 meters, very close to Cucugnan. Its 40 hectares are planted with Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan—grape varieties that thrive on this beautiful terroir. The vineyard’s high elevation helps preserve great aromatic complexity and a lovely freshness.
Gilbert & Gaillard
Wine rated (2014 guide) 88/100
About the wine:
Deep, violet color. An elegant, heady nose with notes of stone fruit, garrigue, and black olives. On the palate, it is inviting and warm, with hints of spices and sun-kissed fruit. Best enjoyed with roasted or braised game. A real success.
