“Light gold color. Aromas of verbena, wildflowers, a hint of anise, mild spices, and white fruits. Intense, lively acidity on the palate. The wine gradually reveals its character and supports a finish of expressive aromas. Pairs well with spicy fish dishes.” (Le Guide des Vins 2016 – Gilbert & Gaillard)

Wine rated (2017 guide) 14/20 (Good wine)

Rated estate (2017 guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, though we are unable to offer a general assessment of the style of its entire range)

About the wine:

As a white wine, the 2015 Dame d'Argent is full-bodied, richly fruity, and balanced by excellent liveliness.

About the estate:

Acquired by the Sichel family nearly 20 years ago, Château Trillol is beautifully situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, at an elevation of 400 meters, just outside Cucugnan. Its 40 hectares are planted with Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan—grape varieties that thrive on this exceptional terroir. The vineyard’s high elevation helps preserve great aromatic complexity and a lovely freshness.
