Clos des Nines
After successfully retraining and earning a degree in Viticulture and Oenology in Montpellier, Isabelle Mangeart, with the support of her family, discovered the craft of winemaking. On a 10-hectare, contiguous plot on the Mourres hill, between Sète and Montpellier, she took over 8 hectares of vineyards and 2 hectares of olive groves and founded Clos des Nines ( “girls” in Occitan). The site is designated as a Natura 2000 area, surrounded by dry-stone walls and dominated by a capitelle—a structure typical of the Languedoc landscape.

Clos des Ninesis certified organic. Situated on a Kimmeridgian Basin, the vineyard soils of Clos des Nines are dotted with fossilized oysters and limestone pebbles. Typical of the Languedoc region, they are primarily clay-limestone and are home to red grape varieties. The clay preserves the grapes’ potential acidity, which is essential for the wines’ freshness and long-term aging potential. The white grape varieties are planted on sandy-loam soils with a high stone content, which promotes good drainage.
