Clos des Nines - Coteaux du Languedoc Obladie 2021

Clos des Nines - Coteaux du Languedoc Obladie 2021

spicy
smooth
hard cheese
half-mourning chicken with truffles

This gourmet white wine reveals the full expression of the Fabrègues terroir in a distinctly southern blend (Grenache blanc, Roussane, Vermentino, Viognier). The attack is round, rich, and intensely aromatic with a spicy finish. A cuvée that pairs well with poultry in a creamy sauce and mushrooms.

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Le Clos des Nines is located in Fabrègues, in the Hérault region. Isabelle Mangeart runs this nine-hectare estate dedicated to wine and olive oil production. After a cool 2015 and a warmer 2016, the 2017 vintage strikes a superb balance between the volume on the palate provided by the high ripeness of the grapes and a welcome freshness.

Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

In 2002, Isabelle Mangeart, sales manager at a multinational agri-food company, decided to change careers and created Clos des Nines from scratch, naming it after her three daughters (nines in Occitan). The 10-hectare vineyard, in a single block, is nestled in the heart of the garrigue and olive groves, between Sète and Montpellier.
