Bettane & Desseauve
“Tannic and structured, yet balanced and easy to drink. This cuvée captivates with its fruity expression (a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache) and notes of macerated strawberries. The palate is aromatic with a lovely finish—very appealing. You’ll enjoy it right through next summer. ” (The 2016 Guide to Wine Bargains – Gerbelle & Maurange)

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2016 guide) 14,5/20 (Good wine)
Rated 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though a bit more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the wine:
Well-balanced tannins, lovely notes of garrigue and sage; easy to drink and refined.
About the estate:
Jean-Philippe Granier provides technical advice to all winemakers in the Languedoc appellations. The family-owned estate, located in the Sommières area, offers wines that are perfectly clean and impeccably crafted, ranging from IGP to Languedoc wines: it is by the quality of its entry-level wines that a good estate is recognized. Among the reds, “Clémence” is intense in flavor, “Jéricho” has a bold character and displays perfectly controlled tannins, and “Camp-de-l’Oste” is a model for the region. There is a clear focus here on the taste and flavors that every wine from the region should express. This is a very reliable choice, especially since, in addition to the reds, the whites are just as consistent and the “Parenthèse” rosé is consistently exceptional.
