This wine offers an aromatic nose of strawberry and cherry with some spicy notes. On tasting, fruitiness and freshness are evident. The palate is beautifully rounded, revealing a licorice finish. This "Clémence" cuvée offers good aging potential but can already be enjoyed in its youth. A wonderful discovery!

About the estate:
Jean-Philippe Granier provides technical advice to all winegrowers in the Languedoc appellations. The family estate, located in the Sommières area, offers perfectly clean, impeccably vinified wines, from IGP to Languedoc: it is the quality of the entry-level wines that distinguishes a good estate. Among the reds, Clémence is intense in flavor, Jéricho is bold with perfectly controlled tannins, and Camp-de-l'Oste is a model for the area. There is a clear focus here on the taste and flavors that all wines from the region should express. This is a very reliable estate, especially since, in addition to the reds, the whites are just as consistent and the Parenthèse rosé is regularly exceptional.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 06/29/2023
A beautiful, authentic wine from Languedoc that is rapidly gaining in value. Upon opening, it releases delightful southern aromas of Cévennes garrigue, sun-kissed red fruits, delicate violet, sweet spices, and meat. With a soft and velvety attack, the full, deep and warm palate is in harmony with the rich array of aromas perceived on the nose, infusing a generous body of wildly seductive jammy fruit, fleshy with a touch of delicious acidity that oscillates with the power of perfectly ripe tannins which, without excess, retain finesse and smoothness. Very round and long on the palate, slightly sweet with a hint of zan. The tannic structure gives this wine good aging potential, but the hardest part will certainly be keeping Clémence around. The perfect embodiment of the Languedoc identity, this cuvée made by friends will do justice to a couscous dish accompanied by tasty Lozère lamb skewers with herbs, or more simply to homemade hunter's terrines (hare with thyme, wild boar from the Causse with black trumpet mushrooms, venison with morels, etc.). You'll want more, especially since it's such a great deal for the price! Rating = 4.2.
