Domaine du Mas Lou

Mas Lou’s 8 hectares of old vines are located in Fos, at the foot of the Cévennes, planted on schist-rich slopes that lend the Faugères wines a great deal of character. Cultivated according to the principles of organic farming and currently in the process of conversion, the Mas Lou vineyard is primarily planted with Syrah and old Carignan vines, supplemented by Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Lledoner Pellut in smaller proportions.

Through a “handcrafted” winemaking process guided by a philosophy of minimal intervention, these two passionate winemakers strive to capture in their wines an expression that is as true as possible to the terroirs of the Faugères appellation and to each vintage. A producer from the younger generation in Languedoc to watch closely.
