In a style that differs from the current trend for colorful, somewhat overly standardized wines, Géraldine Laval champions a livelier, more intense, and mineral style. Behind its very pale onion skin color, it delivers a fresh, thirst-quenching rosé (if only the warm season would arrive)! Enjoy it with grilled sardines, fresh marinated anchovies, fatty fish tartare (salmon) or fresh goat cheese. Give it a try!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give an overall opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the estate:
Géraldine Laval makes wine from her Terrasses-du-Larzac vineyard in La Vacquerie. Trained as an oenologist after working with Jean-Louis Chave, she is gradually converting her estate to organic farming. An estate to watch closely.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2025 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
After learning the ropes from some of the region's leading winemakers, notably Olivier Jullien, Géraldine Laval settled in 2009 on high-altitude plots in the Terrasses du Larzac, in the Poujols and Lauroux area, in the far north-west of the appellation. This small 6-hectare estate benefits from a plot of mature vines. A talented and passionate winemaker, Géraldine Laval expresses the purity, tension, and integrity of her terroirs with precision and sensitivity. The estate has managed the 2021 vintage well and presents a very balanced range.

A pleasant surprise. Perhaps a little expensive...

As a big fan of rosé, I'm afraid I have to say that this rosé is very disappointing. No aroma, closed and too acidic, even bitter—uninteresting.
