"A captivating red wine from the heart of Languedoc"

La Lionne Rouge is characterized by its richness and freshness. It offers flavors of blackberry and red cherry, enhanced by a floral touch and a hint of spice. The finish is smooth, with a menthol note characteristic of the estate's wines. Absolutely charming!

Wine rated 89/100 (2020 vintage)

Rated estate (2025 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

We admire the energy and healthy ambition of sisters Diane and Constance, who energetically run L'Engarran (50 hectares), scattered around an 18th-century folly. Diane, in charge of winemaking, strives for precision. The style highlights the great maturity of the grapes, which makes the wines opulent, with improvements in the quality of the tannins, which are finer and rounder.

Rated estate (2025 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

Ch. de l'Engarran is an 18th-century Montpellier "folly" listed in the National Inventory of Historic Monuments. Three generations of women have made this 55-hectare estate one of the most beautiful addresses in Grés de Montpellier and Saint-Georges-d'Orques.
