Located in an environment that fosters biodiversity, these Vermentino vines—grown on limestone and clay soils—are bathed in sunshine between the garrigue and the Mediterranean. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and floral, with notes of hawthorn and linden, and is both round and refreshing.

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2019 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
Born into a distinguished British family—his father, Anthony Eden, served as a minister under Winston Churchill before succeeding him as Prime Minister—Robert Eden, after working at numerous vineyards around the world, purchased Château Maris in the Minervois region in 1997. This visionary, a staunch advocate of organic and biodynamic farming, built a traditional cellar out of lime and hemp bricks, equipping it with oval vats where the wine matures slowly.
