Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on June 24, 2023

You don’t need a compass to discover the alluring charm of Bermuda. After a smooth, flavorful attack, this IGP glides effortlessly across the palate with its soft, velvety tannins, allowing the southern character of its beautiful, juicy, and expressive flesh to shine through—with flavors of slightly unripe red fruits and spices—on a fresh, fluid structure. A full-bodied and very persistent finish, enhanced by a spicy hint of pepper. Well-aged, it’s guaranteed to age well until at least 2026. A joyful wine, pure pleasure and easy to drink at 13% ABV all summer long—from aperitifs to BBQ grilled meats, especially caramelized Aveyron pork ribs, marinated beforehand in paprika and salted soy sauce, served with small zucchini sautéed in olive oil and garlic. Rating: 3.9, though a retail price closer to €10 would seem more justified to me.
