Gérard Bertrand
The remarkable family history of Gérard Bertrand wines began in 1975, in the vineyards of Château de Villemajou in the heart of the Corbières region. Gérard Bertrand harvested his first grapes alongside his father, discovering a passion for wine and viticulture. He then honed his craft for 12 years working alongside him. After his father’s accidental death in 1987, he took up the torch and, five years later, founded his own company to develop a range of wines from the South of France.

A major turning point came with the 2002 acquisition of Château de l'Hospitalet, located in the La Clape Natural Park. Gérard Bertrand continues to unearth new Gems enrich the diversity of his wines. Today, he heads a world-renowned brand and oversees 16 châteaux in Languedoc, including 880 hectares of vineyards certified organic and cultivated using biodynamic methods.

Gérard Bertrand produces exceptional wines that highlight the quintessence of the Languedoc terroir, where innovation, excellence, naturalness, and conviviality are the watchwords. A fourth generation is preparing to take the reins; Emma and Mathias Bertrand support their father, sharing the same passion and philosophy.
