Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on June 16, 2025

Without any frills, “Cabanon” is a distinctive rosé in the purest Languedoc tradition. Slightly winey, it unfolds with roundness and body thanks to a dense, lively, and silky texture, dominated by pronounced notes of spices and tart fruit, tinged with hints of mint. It tightens up on the finish, marked by a hint of salinity. This is a terroir-driven, everyday rosé, best enjoyed simply with grilled meats, tortillas seasoned with garrigue herbs, pasta with pistou, and more. It may be a polarizing wine. The price is reasonable, but nothing more. Rating = 3.4.
