About the domain :
The estate's cuvées each evoke a member of the family: Sourire d'Odile, Secret de Monique, les deux Roger... Frédéric Mézy is at the helm, working according to the precepts of biodynamic agriculture and the lunar calendar.

About the domain :
In 1998, Roger Mézy replanted 3.5 hectares of vines on the beautiful terroir of the Triadou commune, for his son Frédéric, then a physics and chemistry student with a passion for vines and wine. Frédéric took over the business, soon joined by his wife Pauline. After various acquisitions, including a number of old plots, the estate now covers 58 hectares, spread across the different sectors of the Pic-Saint-Loup appellation and cultivated using biodynamic practices since 2007. Geological variations - limestone scree, marl and rolled pebbles - allow us to play with different blends. The pronounced woodiness and heavy extractions of the early days are a thing of the past, and today's wines are much more balanced, digestible and finer in texture.

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 20/04/2024
Medium-bodied, this springtime Pic-Saint-Loup is dominated by pretty, crisp, nervous red berries and sweet spices that intertwine in a fleshy, highly gourmand texture on a concentrated, straightforward frame. The whole is encircled by well-crafted tannins that give freshness and bounce to the vibrant finish. Particularly easy to digest, this young Gamin was perfectly suited to caramelized racks of Aveyron pork and sautéed parsley salsify. Score = 3.9.
