Wine rating (2024 guide) 90/100 (2021 vintage)

Rated estate (2025 guide) Alexis Goujard Selection

About the estate:

In 1998, Roger Mézy replanted 3.5 hectares of vines on the beautiful terroir of the commune of Triadou for his son Frédéric, then a physics and chemistry student with a passion for vines and wine. Frédéric took over the estate, soon joined by his wife Pauline. After various acquisitions, including some old plots, the estate now covers 58 hectares, spread across different areas of the Pic-Saint-Loup appellation and cultivated using biodynamic practices since 2007. The geological variations, limestone scree, marl, and rounded pebbles allow for a variety of blends. The pronounced woodiness and heavy extraction of the early days are now a thing of the past. Today, the wines are much more balanced, easy to drink and more refined.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on January 18, 2026

Medium-bodied, this Pic-Saint-Loup offers beautiful volume, great concentration, and pronounced flavors of perfectly ripe black fruits with peppery and toasty nuances that come together in a dense, firm texture with a fresh finish. The silky tannins give a refreshing bounce to the finish. This Gamin paired perfectly with keftas and cinnamon semolina. Rating = 3.8.
