3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
“ Favorite jury’s Favorite a special commendation for this Duc de Morny, which was already a winner in the 2015 vintage. [..] This exciting cuvée boasts a brilliant yellow color with countless jade-like highlights. On the nose, it reveals intense exotic notes of lychee, pineapple, and kaffir lime, with a hint of licorice. On the palate, it combines volume and fruitiness (white peach and pear), roundness, and freshness in a superbly balanced profile, with the added bonus of remarkable length. Harmonious, complex, and flavorful, a fine standard-bearer for the appellation. » (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019) The perfect companion for shellfish and crustaceans! ( Screw cap)

I can't think of a wine that pairs better with a platter of shellfish or fish. Forget Muscadet, Riesling, and the like.

It is the structure of the Picpoul that gives this wine its strength, both on the nose and on the palate—fruity and mineral. Spot on! A truly beautiful white wine!
