Le Clos du Serres

The 15-hectare Clos du Serres estate has been managed since 2006 by Béatrice and Sébastien Fillon, who are based in St. Jean de Blaquière. In 2011, their brother-in-law, Nicolas Molard, joined them. Located 50 km northwest of Montpellier, the Clos du Serres vineyard is farmed organically, and yields are limited to an average of 30 hl/hectare. “Serres” means “surrounded by hills” in Occitan. Indeed, the estate’s vineyards are situated in the heart of a preserved and wild natural environment: Lake Salagou, the Hérault Gorges, the Mourèze Cirque, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, and the Larzac Plateau… The Clos du Serres vineyard enjoys a climate that is both Mediterranean and mountainous, with the sea to the south and the Larzac Plateau to the north, where Mont Baudille rises to an altitude of 849 meters.
