Le Clos du Serres

The 15-hectare Clos du Serres estate has been run since 2006 by Béatrice and Sébastien Fillon, who live in St Jean de Blaquière. In 2011, their brother-in-law Nicolas Molard joined them. Located 50 km northwest of Montpellier, the Clos du Serres vineyard is organically farmed, with yields limited to an average of 30 hl/hectare. "Serres" means "surrounded by hills" in Occitan. The estate's vineyards are indeed located in the heart of a preserved and wild natural environment: Lake Salagou, the Hérault Gorges, the Mourèze St Guilhem le Désert cirque, the Causse du Larzac, and more. The Clos du Serres vineyard enjoys both a Mediterranean and mountain climate, with the sea to the south and the Larzac plateau to the north, with Mont Baudille rising to an altitude of 849 meters.
