“A delightfully enjoyable Cabernet Franc—fruity and well-balanced, the epitome of an easy-drinking wine”

“Easy to drink, this Cabernet Franc immediately reveals a lovely fruity character. It then unfolds into a supple, refined palate with light, well-integrated tannins. A wine that, in its youth, pairs well with a pissaladière or cured meats.” (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2026) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

Rated estate (2026 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the wine:

Easy to drink, this Cabernet Franc immediately reveals a lovely fruity character. This gives way to a supple, refined palate with light, well-integrated tannins. A wine that, while still young, pairs well with a pissaladière or cured meats.

About the estate:

Led by the younger generation—Stéphane, Julien, and Vincent Denis, who joined the business in 2003, 2006, and 2009, respectively—this has been a family business since 1920; it started with 5 hectares and now spans 90 hectares. A flagship estate in Haut-Layon, renowned in particular for its red wines, but also highly skilled in producing whites and rosés. A (very) safe bet.
