Coulaine Castle
Château de Coulaine is located in the renowned Véron region of the Loire Valley. Château de Coulaine is a long-established family-run estate whose winemaking tradition has continued uninterrupted since 1300. Taken over by Etienne de Bonnaventure in 1988, then by his son Jean in 2017, the vineyard has expanded and now covers 18 hectares cultivated organically—a personal choice that is fully in line with the ongoing quest for a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity.

The terroir of Château de Coulaine, composed of two-thirds clay-limestone hillsides and the remainder clay-siliceous plateaus, is perfectly expressed in a very natural and light manner in the range of wines produced. The wines of the Château de Coulaine estate are made exclusively from Cabernet Franc, yielding high-quality wines within the Chinon appellation.
