Domaine Pierre Sourdais

Domaine Pierre Sourdais, created in the early 1980s from 8 hectares, is a family estate run with talent and passion, and one of the great names in Chinonnais.

Today, Domaine Pierre Sourdais boasts 27 hectares of vines, exclusively Cabernet Franc, some of which are over 60 years old, cultivated organically and certified since 2012. The gravel pits on the terraces along the banks of the Vienne River provide a unique environment for this grape variety, producing wines where fruitiness and easy drinking dominate. These gravel pits are complemented by plots on clay-limestone or flint-clay slopes and plateaus (Pallus, les Pentes, les Cornuelles, les Boulais and le Moulin à Tan), which lend structure and character to Pierre Sourdais wines.
