Domaine Pierre Sourdais, founded in the early 1980s with 8 hectares of vineyards, is a family-owned estate run with talent and passion, and ranks among the leading names in the Chinon region.

Today, Domaine Pierre Sourdais comprises 27 hectares of vineyards, planted exclusively with Cabernet Franc—some vines of which are over 60 years old—cultivated using organic farming methods and certified since 2012. The gravelly terraces along the banks of the Vienne River provide this grape variety with a unique environment that yields wines characterized by their fruitiness and easy-drinking quality. These gravelly soils are complemented by plots on hillsides and plateaus of clay-limestone or clay-flint (Pallus, Les Pentes, Les Cornuelles, Les Boulais, and Le Moulin à Tan), which lend structure and character to Pierre Sourdais’ wines.
