Aubance hillsides

Between river and stream: The rich wine-growing heritage of the Aubance hillsides

Between Anjou, the Layon hillsides and the Cabernet d'Anjou, the name Aubance hillsides has earned its place thanks to its terroir and the expertise of the winemakers who produce exceptional wines.

The Coteaux de l'Aubance vineyard has been classified as an AOC since 1950. It covers an area of approximately 200 hectares south of Angers on the left bank of the Loire River. The vineyards are located on well-ventilated, well-exposed hillsides, ideal for overripening grapes. Coteaux de l'Aubance wines are made exclusively from Chenin Blanc (Pineau de Loire).

With a beautiful golden yellow color and green highlights, the sweet white wine from the Aubance hillsides offers a beautiful balance between the richness of its aromas and the freshness marked by the minerality of its terroir. These qualities can be discovered in particular by tasting the wines offered by the Montgilet Estate.
