“This Quincy, grown on clay-siliceous soils, impresses with its aromatic finesse. The subtle hints of boxwood dissipate upon aeration, giving way to pronounced floral aromas, nuanced with minerality and yellow fruit (peach). On the palate, the richness and sweetness evoke a confectionery-like sensation, but a well-defined freshness balances the whole. Complex, harmonious, and indulgent.”(Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1 star (A high-quality, recommended wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Jean Tatin, a native of Quincy, will enthusiastically tell you all about his terroirs. His daughter Maroussia joined him in 2010 and is gradually bringing her own personal touch to the estate’s wines, which remain simple and well-crafted. The vineyard spans 25 hectares in Quincy, on the slopes of the Cher River, and since 2003, also includes 8 hectares in Reuilly on the slopes of the Arnon River. The reasonable prices and warm hospitality are definite assets, and the single-vineyard whites from Quincy are particularly worth trying.

Typical of the appellation: a lively, very pleasant, fruity wine that’s quite dry. Pairs well with seafood and grilled fish. It’s no Burgundy, but at this price?

A superb aroma of apricot and peach that carries through to the palate. A lovely, lingering finish with no harsh acidity. Perfect with a fillet of sea bass served with spring onions!
