"A real treat—this delicate, well-balanced white wine is best savored slowly!"
“The nose, light and delicate, offers notes of exotic fruits and citrus, rounded out by a hint of honey. Full-bodied yet beautifully fresh, with a lingering finish of white flowers and lemon, the palate displays a very assured balance. Why not pair it with a chicory tatin?” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1 star (A high-quality, recommended wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Jean Tatin, a native of Quincy, will enthusiastically tell you all about his terroirs. His daughter Maroussia joined him in 2010 and is gradually bringing her own personal touch to the estate’s wines, which remain simple and well-crafted. The vineyard spans 25 hectares in Quincy, on the slopes of the Cher River, and since 2003, also includes 8 hectares in Reuilly on the slopes of the Arnon River. The affordable prices and warm hospitality are definite assets, and the single-vineyard whites from Quincy are particularly worth trying.

In 2023, this young Sauvignon offers a lively, rounded profile with a touch of richness and generous aromas blending pronounced flinty notes with citrus, which has preserved its freshness within a refined and elegant structure. Its sharp yet crisp character extends the breadth of the mouth-watering finish with a delicate hint of bitterness. We licked our fingers and lips clean with a delicious mouclade made with mussels from Les Boucholeurs. Don’t hesitate to pair it with Cantonese rice in soy sauce with pink shrimp. Rating = 4.1.

Light straw-yellow color. On the nose: white and yellow fruit, fruit gummies, citrus zest, beeswax, a hint of tropical fruit, as well as mineral and flint notes. Beautiful, complex aromas. On the palate, full, ripe notes of green melon, preserved lemon, vegetal notes, green herbs, plenty of body, and a coating sensation throughout the wine, right through to the long, slightly salty finish. Wow, different from the 2022, but here too, class, finesse, and conviction. What a standout. Score: 17/20
