Domaine de la Cotelleraie

The Domaine de la Cotelleraie is a family-owned estate dating back to the 19th century, located in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. Owned by the Vallée family, Gérald Vallée makes the decisions and oversees the vineyards and winery, with the help of his two children. The Domaine de la Cotelleraie has a 26-hectare vineyard, spread across the gravelly terraces, the siliceous limestone of the gentle hillside, and the gravelly mounds of the Loire Valley.

Domaine de la Cotelleraie has been farmed organically since 1999 and is in the process of becoming certified. This is the realm of Cabernet Franc, which thrives on soils tended throughout the year to optimize the grapes’ natural ripening and achieve the quality that makes this estate one of the very best in the Loire Valley.
