Domaine de la Cotelleraie

Domaine de la Cotelleraie is a family estate dating back to the 19th century, in Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil. Owned by the Vallée family, it is Gérald Vallée who decides and presides over the destiny of the vineyards and winery, with the help of his two children. Domaine de la Cotelleraie boasts 26 hectares of vineyards, divided between the gravel of the terrace, the siliceous limestone of the lower slopes and the gravelly mounds of the Loire Valley.

Domaine de la Cotelleraie has been organically farmed since 1999, and is in the process of being certified. This is the realm of Cabernet Franc, which thrives on soils that are worked throughout the year to optimize the grapes' natural ripeness and obtain the quality that makes this estate one of the very best in the Loire Valley. At Domaine de la Cotelleraie, Gérald Vallée maintains the vision of an exceptional vineyard that carries the colors of Loire Valley wines high, and has established itself year after year as a benchmark in its Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil appellation.
