“This producer’s best red wine—it’s impressive. Fragrant, smooth, and ripe, yet still with good acidity, this oak-aged wine is elegant and spicy. The ripe tannins hold the wine together and provide the structure to support its richness. Drink now.” (Wine Enthusiast)

Rated estate (2026 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)

About the estate:

The Roblin brothers, whose reputation continues to grow, produce consistently excellent wines from a 17-hectare vineyard, located primarily on white clay soils but also on the hillsides of Maimbray and Sury-en-Vaux. This is an estate that offers excellent value for money.

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rated (2019 guide) 2* Stars (Outstanding wine)

Rated estate (2026 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the wine:

Aeration dispels the animal notes detected on the initial nose. This reveals lovely aromas of cooked fruit (strawberry, fig) and a hint of caramel. From the first sip, the palate offers a full-bodied texture that harmonizes with fine, well-integrated tannins that carry the finish well into the aftertaste.

About the estate:

In 2000, Matthias Roblin took over this family estate, which dates back to the 18th century. His brother Émile joined him six years later. The vineyard covers 19 hectares and is managed using “sustainable farming practices with a focus on organic methods.”
