Minchin Estates
Bertrand Minchin, "a lover of terroirs," has made a name for himself particularly in the Touraine and Valençay appellations, a new appellation in the Loire Valley that was established in 2004. He cultivates his vineyards using sustainable practices: compost or organic soil amendments and no root-zone herbicides. Careful winemaking and appropriate aging allow him to offer delicious wines with a unique silkiness and that very Rabelaisian “little something” that delights wine lovers!

It was in Menetou-Salon—and more specifically in the village of Morogues—that Bertrand Minchin planted his 16 hectares of vineyards in 1988, on land where Bertrand’s grandfather had already been growing grapes before the war. In 2004, Bertrand Minchin took over an estate in Valençay: “Le Claux Delorme.”
