Domaine du Clos Naudin
Domaine du Clos Naudin is a century-old family estate now run by Philippe Foreau, a leading figure in the Vouvray appellation. His credo: "To drink wine, beyond the sip swallowed, is to wonder about the mysteries of its taste, to understand its origin, its grape variety, its soil, to understand the climatic conditions it has received". A passionate winemaker who pampers his vines and his land.

Aware that the notion of terroir is important, Domaine du Clos Naudin 's top priority is to respect the soil's microbial life. Like his grandfather and father before him, Philippe Foreau remains committed to traditional methods and an organic approach to the cultivation of his 12 hectares, located on the first slope and averaging 37 years of age. Grass is controlled mechanically with conventional ploughing, thus avoiding the use of chemical weedkillers, which are harmful to the soil, the environment and our health. Fertilizer inputs are moderate and of organic origin. No insecticides are used. Pruning is short, giving an average yield of around 38 hl/ha. The grapes are harvested by hand to avoid any crushing. Vinification is carried out exclusively with the yeasts present on the grape skins, in 300-liter barrels with a maximum of 5% new wood each year.

Aromatic purity, typicity, finesse, elegance, balance, length on the palate... These are just some of the goals sought by Domaine du Clos Naudin in the elaboration of its cuvées.
