Domaine du Clos Naudin
Domaine du Clos Naudin is a century-old family estate now run by Philippe Foreau, an iconic figure in the Vouvray appellation. His credo? "Drinking wine, beyond the sip you take, means questioning the mysteries of its taste, understanding its origin, its grape variety, its soil, and understanding the climatic conditions it has experienced." He is a passionate winemaker who pampers his vines and his land.

Aware of the importance of terroir, the primary objective of Domaine du Clos Naudin is to respect the microbial life of the soil. Like his grandfather and father before him, Philippe Foreau remains committed to traditional methods and organic farming on his 12 hectares of vineyards, located on the first hillside and averaging 37 years old. Weed control is carried out mechanically using traditional plowing methods, thus avoiding chemical weedkillers that are harmful to the soil, the environment, and health. Fertilizer use is moderate and organic. No insecticides are used. Pruning is light, resulting in an average yield of around 38 hl/ha. Harvesting is done manually to avoid crushing the grapes. Vinification is carried out exclusively with the yeasts present on the grape skins, in 300-liter barrels with a maximum of 5% new wood each year.

Aromatic purity, typicity, finesse, elegance, balance, length on the palate... These are some of the goals sought by Domaine du Clos Naudin in the production of its wines.
