Dog Point
Dog Point is a winery founded in 2002 by two passionate friends and colleagues at Cloudy Bay (owned by LVMH), Ivan Sutherland and James Healy. Dog Point is the place where sheepdogs used to roam, leaving the sheep unattended. Today, these desert lands are a beautiful vineyard where the estate’s dogs continue to hold a special place.
Dog Point has a very sunny climate with low rainfall; autumn nights are cool, and all the conditions are in place for the vineyard to develop slowly. Dog Point primarily produces white wines made from Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as a Pinot Noir.
