“Le Charme 2023, extremely youthful and elegant, is the most elegant red in their Douro lineup. This is an innovative wine produced at Vale Mendiz and Quinta de Napoles to increase both quantity and quality while following the same approach—a short maceration of whole clusters in the lagar, pressed into barrels where it finished fermenting and aged for nine months. They use high-altitude vineyards with a blend of grapes, including white varieties. This wine is floral and herbaceous, fragrant, elegant, subtly bold, and balanced, with an elegant profile. It is very well-balanced and should age gracefully. It follows in the tradition of the 2019 and 2021 vintages. 2026–2036” (Wine Advocate 2024)
