"Le Charme 2023, extremely young and elegant, is the most elegant red in their Douro range. It is an innovative wine produced at Vale Mendiz and Quinta de Napoles to increase quantity (and quality) following the same logic—a short maceration of whole clusters in lagar, pressed into barrels where it finished fermenting and aged for nine months. They use high-altitude vineyards with a mix of grapes, including whites. This wine is floral and herbaceous, fragrant, elegant, finely daring, and balanced, with an elegant profile. It is very well-balanced and should age gracefully. It is in line with the 2019 and 2021 vintages. 2026-2036" (Wine Advocate 2024)
