“Deep and aromatic, this red also gains a lot of structure from its oak aging. A bold and vigorous expression of Mourvèdre that will prove very approachable in the bottle. ” (RVF Special Vintage 2013 - June 2014) This is a high-quality Bandol, produced according to the standards and style established by the Ott family since their acquisition of the Château in 1956. Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
A prominent family in the world of Provençal wine, the Otts entered the wine industry by acquiring Château de Selle in 1912, Clos Mireille in 1930, and Domaine Romassan in 1956. Taken over by the Roederer Group in 2004, the winery continues to operate under the leadership of Christian and Jean-François, the Ott cousins, proof that the family remains deeply involved and, in fact, is still a shareholder. The finest vintages are all rosés and, with admirable consistency, remain among the most successful in Provence.

Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the wine:
On the nose, this Bandol reveals delicate aromas of black fruit, spices, and toasted notes. Equally subtle and light on the palate, it is characterized by elegant aging and silky, well-integrated tannins. Enjoy it now, but it also has aging potential.
About the estate:
Originally from Alsace, the Ott family settled in Provence in 1896 and acquired Romassan in 1956 (70 hectares at the foot of Le Castellet in the Bandol appellation); they also own Château de Selle and Clos Mireille in Côtes-de-Provence. Two AOCs and a distinctive bottle, inspired by the Roman amphora. The estate (part of the Champagne house Roederer since 2004) is run by cousins Christian and Jean-François Ott.
