"A tribute to Pagnol and the rock partridges in My Father's Glory (the largest species of partridge), this Bandol is also an ode to Mourvèdre, grown here from 50-year-old vines rooted in clay soils. Candied blueberry, cocoa bean, spicy (saffron, vanilla) and woody notes blend elegantly in the bouquet, then return insistently in a dense, rich, ripe and distinctive palate, sheathed in fine, sappy tannins that accompany a flavorful finish tinged with Havana and star anise. Absolutely seductive and with excellent cellaring potential, it is already radiant. (Le Guide Hachette 2024) Aerate beforehand to dispel the typical reduction of Mourvèdre.

About the estate:
Guilhem Tournier established his vineyard in 2004: 6.5 hectares located at the foot of the medieval village of La Cadière-d'Azur and cultivated organically. He also took over his parents' family estate, Dom. Roche Redonne, totaling 12 hectares.
