Bettane & Desseauve

“Deep garnet color, slightly mature. Complex nose with notes of garrigue, lovely toasted and spicy tones, and subtle oak. A smooth attack, magnificent velvety texture, full-bodied and rich; it evokes an arid, wild landscape—the terroir in a bottle. Superb.” (Le Guide des Vins 2015 - Gilbert & Gaillard)

Wine rated (2015 guide) 15/20 Top Pick (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2015 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the wine:

Aroma of tapenade and garrigue; structured and spicy on the palate.

About the estate:

The ten or so hectares planted on this northern slope of the Alpilles, on clay-limestone soils, produce increasingly refined reds that age beautifully over time, with a refreshing finish of the highest quality. Neil Joyce can be proud of his latest vintages.
