Domaine Loew - Riesling Bruderbach Clos des Frères 2015
91/100
Robert Parker
“The 2015 Bruderbach Clos des Frères Riesling opens with a clean, concentrated, deep, and mineral-driven nose of perfectly ripe fruit (lemon). Round, intense, and elegant on the palate, it is a clean, fresh, and briny Riesling with a long, aromatic finish. Thanks to its low pH, this Clos is rich yet full of tension, highly mineral, and boasts a beautiful, persistent structure. Impressive!” (Wine Advocate 2017 – Robert Parker)

Rated estate (2017 guide): 3*Stars (High-quality production that serves as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Étienne Loew is courageously working to raise awareness of the little-known terroirs of Westhalten, where very few winemakers bottle their own wine. Meticulous winemaking and extended aging (primarily in stainless steel tanks) result in pure, precise wines; the Rieslings are very dry.

Rated estate (2017 guide): 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
For several years now, this estate—skillfully managed by Etienne Loew—has captivated us with the consistency of its production and the exceptional quality of its wines. He has found the key to fully understanding the nuances of the soils around Westhoffen, and he safeguards this somewhat isolated vineyard just as a guardian would watch over his ramparts! His approach is confident, his thinking open-minded, and his wines stand out for their elegance. A winery well worth discovering.

A superb wine, very drinkable right now, though it benefits from a little aeration. I'm disappointed I only bought three bottles!!
