3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Over the past 15 years, the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel has expanded by acquiring appellations in the southern Rhône Valley. This ambition has been successfully realized both in Luberon with La Vieille Ferme and in the other terroirs presented. Perfect mastery of fermentation and appropriate aging techniques have played a major role in this success.

About wine:

Barrel sample. Wild notes on the nose—spices and leather. Rich and powerful on the palate. Firm, grainy tannins and a rather introverted mid-palate at present. Structured finish that needs a little time to open up.
