Grown on plots of bluish granite adjacent to Château Grillet, Jeanraude delights us with its delicate charm. Intense aromas of rose petal jam, white peach, and even raspberry perfume this voluptuous and powerful Viognier. The flavors of honey and mandarin are creamy and full-bodied on the palate, and a refreshing note beautifully enlivens the mid-palate. This substantial wine is already delicious and will age well until 2030.

About the estate:

This small estate owns some very lovely vineyards in Condrieu, some of which—such as Poncin—are very close to Château Grillet. We were more impressed by the red Saint-Josephs than by the Condrieus in 2017.
