(2018 vintage notes)
Viognier
delicate
voluptuous

Grown on blue granite plots adjacent to Château Grillet, Jeanraude intoxicates us with its delicacy. Intense aromas of rose petal jam, white peach, and even raspberry perfume this voluptuous and powerful Viognier. The flavors of honey and mandarin orange are creamy and voluminous on the palate, and a wonderful freshness awakens the mid-palate. This substantial wine is already delicious and can be kept until 2030.

Rated estate (2020 guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, but where we are unable to give an overall opinion on the style of the entire range)

About the estate:

This small estate has some very attractive plots in Condrieu, including some, such as Poncin, that are very close to Château Grillet. We were more impressed by the red Saint-Joseph wines than by the Condrieu wines in 2017.
