Domaine François Merlin

It all began in 1987, when François Merlin planted his first vineyard while working as a vineyard laborer at Domaine Rostaing. After selling his first vintage as an AOC Condrieu in 1990, he devoted himself exclusively to his own estate, François Merlin, in 1999, before expanding his operation and being joined by his son Laurent in 2013. It’s a wonderful family story of two enthusiasts of wine and viticulture. In their vineyards—most of which are situated on very steep slopes—they strive to convey the expression of the terroirs through carefully controlled oak aging, abundant fruit, and minerality.
