Domaine François Merlin - Condrieu Les Terroirs 2020
17,5+/20
Jancis Robinson
93/100
Decanter
Condrieu "Terroirs" is made from grapes grown on four plots planted with Viognier, the emblematic grape variety of the Condrieu terroir. It is a racy, lively, and generous white wine with a beautiful tension on the palate and rich aromas of apricots and orange blossom honey. Enjoy it from aperitif to dessert.

Rated estate (2020 guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, but where we are unable to give an overall opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the estate:
This small estate has some very attractive plots in Condrieu, including some, such as Poncin, that are very close to Château Grillet. We were more impressed by the red Saint-Joseph wines than by the Condrieu wines in 2017.
