Robert Parker
"In 2022, Les Triotes will give way to La Triote, a parcel selection from the locality of the same name."
"A broad, textured, and dense 100% Syrah. It displays notes of black fruit, herbs, and warm spices, with medium body and creamy tannins. Precision and velvety texture in the mid-palate. Ample and dense, it is balanced and harmonious. Generous but controlled, with a concentrated and persistent finish. (James Suckling 2024)

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
This estate has some lovely vineyards in the Côte Blonde area, including one on Le Goutay, near their home, but their best wine comes from Les Rochains, on the schist soils near La Landonne. Production still lacks consistency, but the style is authentic, with the hallmark of whole bunch fermentation. The 2017 vintage showed great promise this year.

Wine rating (2025 guide) 91/100 (Outstanding wine)
About wine:
Produced from vines planted in La Triote, located in the Côte Brune sector, the 2022 Côte-Rôtie La Triote offers aromas of dark wild berries, blackberries, spices, pepper, and smoke. Medium-bodied, linear and dense, this is a perfectly balanced and structured Côte-Rôtie with velvety tannins, enhanced by a long and delicate finish. Fermented with 25% whole clusters, this classic wine was aged for 18 months in barrels (50% new).

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
The Garon wines showcase the diversity of the Côte-Rôtie terroirs. We are impressed by the style of the estate's wines, which are distinguished by their fine texture. The fruit is precise, and the aging process intensifies depending on the terroirs and their ability to manage the wood. Among the different vintages, La Sybarine evokes the expression of granitic soils; Les Triotes, located on the Côte Blonde, next to Lancement, comes from schist; Les Rochins is born on the brown schist of the Côte Brune.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 92/100
About wine:
The 2022 Côte-Rôtie La Triote presents intense notes of wood smoke, dried meat, licorice, and ripe black cherry. A hint of pencil shavings adds an extra layer. Concentrated and round, the 2022 is a precise and intense La Triote, ending with a spicy finish.
