Domaine Garon
Domaine Garon is located in the commune of Ampuis. The Garon family has been rooted in the heart of the vineyard for over 500 years, the first known winemaker being Jean Garon, born in 1475. The Garon estate was taken over in the 1980s by Carmen and Jean-François, who set out once again to conquer the then fallow hillsides. In 1995, they produced their first bottle of Côte-Rôtie, which was renamed "Les Triotes" in 2006.

Today, the story continues to unfold, and they continue to work the land of their ancestors as a family. The estate has been handed down from generation to generation, and is now run by Kévin and Fabien. The Domaine Garon vineyard extends over 13 hectares, between Seyssuel and Saint Pierre de Bœuf. From winter pruning to autumn harvesting, all the vines are worked with the same rigor. The choice of sustainable agriculture produces healthy, well-balanced grapes, ideal for making great wines.

Convinced of the exceptional quality of the Côte Rôtie vineyard and its Syrah grape variety, Domaine Garon does its utmost to produce wines as close to the terroir as possible. The Rhône Valley is a mosaic of terroirs to explore, vinify and showcase! Their passion drives them towards new horizons... Today, they offer a wide range of wines, from generous Côtes du Rhône to great Côte-Rôtie cuvées.

"Prix Plaisir Garanti

A Côtes-du-Rhône combining the terroirs of the northern and southern Rhône valleys! The nose is reminiscent of Provence, while retaining a certain freshness, with notes of garrigue, thyme and red fruit. The palate is opulent but controlled, offering flavors of bitter cherry and blackberry. The velvety finish is fairly long, with discreet tannins.

A Saint-Joseph worthy of the great Côte-Rôtie! On the nose, we find the floral and fruity dimension of Northern Rhône Syrahs, supported by pretty spices. The palate is velvety and round, with pleasant, generous tannins. Long, inviting finish. A wine to be enjoyed between 1 and 5 years after bottling.

A 100% Syrah well-built on granite terroirs. Fruity on the nose, round but powerful and spicy on the palate. A generous, gourmet Côte-Rôtie to be enjoyed in its youth. An immediate pleasure!

"A complex and racy wine to discover".

The Romans cultivated their vines like gardeners, and Rome is still renowned for the beauty of its gardens. It's easy to imagine the vineyards of Seyssuel being tended with as much care as the "Gardens of Rome" of the time. This still confidential appellation combines the finesse and beauty of the renowned terroirs of nearby Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu. An IGP worthy of the great Rhône AOPs!

"A broad, textured and dense 100% Syrah. Shows notes of black fruit, herbs and warm spices, with medium body and creamy tannins. Precise and velvety in the center. Ample and dense, balanced and harmonious. Generous but controlled, with a concentrated, persistent finish." (James Suckling 2024)

"What finesse!"

"Côte-Rôtie Les Rochins 2022 was aged for 20 months in 228-liter French oak barrels, 30% of which were new. Intense licorice, black plum, clove, graphite and a touch of espresso come to the fore. Medium to full-bodied and round, the 2022 seduces the palate with an elegant concentration of flavors, and finishes with bright freshness on the fruity finish. Give it another two years in bottle. "Cola cherry, licorice, graphite, dried meat and cedar frame the seductive aromatic profile of Côte-Rôtie Lancement 2022. On the palate, the 2022 is full-bodied with a high concentration of flavors, held together by lively acidity. It finishes with tenacity on a refined finish." "It will envelop your palate to finish on a pleasant salinity".

"I continue to adore wines from this estate, and the Condrieu La Vieille Maison 2022 (10% new barrels) is magnificent, with a pure, medium-bodied, elegant style and impressive aromas of honeyed melon, crushed pineapple and mentholated herbs. It has typical Condrieu minerality, perfect balance and an excellent finish. It has good richness, but it's all about complexity, purity and elegance." (Jeb Dunnuck 2024)

"A fresh Viognier".

Viognier takes pride of place in this Les Grandes Parcelles cuvée. Cultivated on sandy granite soil, at the edge of the Condrieu appellation above 300 meters altitude, the grape variety brings freshness and aromatic purity to the wine, thanks to the altitude. A nose of peach and exotic fruit, a tonic yet unctuous palate - we're salivating in anticipation! Enjoy now or in 1 to 3 years.
