“A deep, lingering wine that reveals all the charms of a great Syrah terroir”
“A textured, well-structured, and lively Côte-Rôtie, with aromas of redcurrants, blackberries, roasted meat, and baking spices. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins. Delicious, with a pure character on the palate. Juicy red fruit with a delicate hint of spice. Textured and complex, with plenty of verve and precision. A vibrant, long finish.” (James Suckling 2025)

Rated estate (2023 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the estate:
Tucked away on a small cul-de-sac in the heart of the village of Condrieu, Domaine Niero comprises just nine hectares of vineyards: four in Condrieu, two in Côte Rôtie, just over one in Saint-Joseph, and just under one in Crozes-Hermitage. There is also about one hectare dedicated to the Collines Rhodaniennes IGP, planted with both Syrah and Viognier. Although the clean, modern approach is undeniable, the wines are full of character and expressive of their different terroirs.

Rated Estate (2024 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
Since 2004, Rémi has been at the helm of this family-owned estate, which boasts a fine selection of terroirs in Condrieu, with 4 hectares divided into six plots. He also produces several Côte-Rôtie vintages from the Viallière and Bassenon terroirs, as well as a Saint-Joseph vintage, Bois Prieur, and another in Crozes-Hermitage. The wines are serious, rather classic, with aging that sometimes leaves a slight mark on them during their youth.

About the wine:
The 2023 Côte Rôtie Eminence reveals aromas of smoky black fruit, cured meats, spices, and toasted herbs. This richly textured, medium- to full-bodied, concentrated Côte Rôtie features firm tannins, a solid mid-palate, and exceptional length. It reflects the ripe and concentrated style of the vintage while remaining well-balanced.
