“A lovely, soft palate with depth. Very appealing fruit—fresh yet perfectly balanced in its ripeness. The tannins envelop the fruit without overpowering it.” (RVF June 2014 – 2013 Vintage Special) Bordering the renowned Gigondas appellation, the Chamfort estate’s Côtes-du-Rhône Sablet vineyard is situated on terraces high above the village. It is planted with Syrah vines about twenty years old and Grenache vines about fifty years old. This is a refined wine that offers beautiful red fruit and exceptional freshness.

Trained under the brilliant Alain Paret (whose “Saint-Joseph 420 Nuits” is magnificent), Vasco Urruty Perdigao heads this estate, which boasts beautiful terroirs in Sablet, Rasteau, and Vacqueyras. Together with his wife Sonia, they form a duo of innovative and passionate winemakers. They have been working toward organic farming for several years, and have made significant strides in winemaking techniques. This estate is really on the rise! Well done!
