“A lively Côtes-du-Rhône”
The wine has a deep color with violet hues. On the nose, the varietal aromas of Syrah dominate: red berries, violets, and licorice. On the palate, this wine’s roundness, fullness, and finesse make it a standout in its category. A fantastic wine for the table!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
At his new facilities in the heart of Tain, Jacques Grange has a superb, state-of-the-art facility at his disposal. He is assisted by Marco Beckmann, an Italian oenologist and expert taster. The coming vintages look promising. In Hermitage, the new cuvée from the Grandes Vignes at the top of the hill brings this underutilized terroir to the forefront.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Founded in 1835, the house has been owned by Champagne Deutz (Roederer Group) since 1977. Under the leadership of Fabrice Rosset and his technical director Jacques Grange, it owns 30 hectares of vineyards in the northern appellations, supplemented by purchased grapes; the southern range comes from the négociant-éleveur division.

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
Part of the Deutz Champagne house since 1977—which itself is part of the Louis Roederer group—Delas is a reputable winery. Priority has been given to vineyards with extensive mass-selection plantings. The house cultivates 30 hectares of its own vineyards, including 10 very well-located plots in Hermitage: 8 in Les Bessards and 2 in L'Ermite. The house rounds out its range with purchases of must or grapes. We admit to being somewhat cautious at times regarding the overly pronounced aging of the most prestigious vintages, which, in our opinion, would benefit from being crafted with a greater emphasis on fruit and freshness. It is worth noting that, since 2019, the winery has had a brand-new winemaking and reception facility in Tain.

Review by Mr. Gilles D. Published on June 6, 2025
A Syrah-dominated blend offers body and depth, while the addition of Grenache brings great finesse and a beautiful intensity of crisp, slightly sweet red fruits, complemented by spices and delicate notes of garrigue and undergrowth. Supported by firm yet supple and well-integrated tannins, these juicy flavors linger in a well-rounded palate, leading to a slightly mineral finish. This lovely cuvée, offered at a very attractive price, will pair beautifully with a dish of eggplant stuffed with Alpine lamb and baked au gratin. Rating = 4.1.
