Rated estate (2024 guide): 3*Stars (High-quality production that serves as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Maxime and Antoine Graillot now run the family estate. Alain Graillot, who passed away in 2022, pioneered the wine estate movement in the Châssis region as early as the mid-1980s. His “La-Guiraude” cuvée—which has always been a selection of the cellar’s finest barrels—is a benchmark for the appellation, with definite aging potential. Generations come and go, but the style endures.

Rated Estate (2024 Guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
The great Alain Graillot sadly passed away in 2022. This talented and visionary winemaker leaves his two sons, Antoine and Maxime, an estate that stands at the pinnacle of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, having demonstrated for many years now the potential of the appellation’s finest terroirs. Located in the heart of the alluvial plain of pure pebbles and gravel at La Roche-de-Glun, the estate produces Syrahs that are more refined and structured than most in the region. The strength of these wines lies in the immediate pleasure they provide, even though they are capable of aging with increasing complexity over ten years… or even much longer.
