“A fine wine to keep in your cellar”
“A structured, complex, and well-balanced Crozes-Hermitage, with aromas of spicy berries, warm herbs, baking spices, and notes of undergrowth and bark. It is medium-bodied, with fine, firm tannins. Dense and textured, it has a solid structure that shapes the palate. Flavorful, peppery, and long on the finish. Drink from 2027.” (James Suckling 2025). • Very limited quantities.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
Maxime and Antoine Graillot now run the family estate. Alain Graillot, who passed away in 2022, pioneered the movement of independent wineries in the Châssis region in the mid-1980s. His La-Guiraude cuvée, which has always been a selection of the cellar’s finest barrels, is a benchmark for the appellation, with definite aging potential. Generations come and go, but the style remains.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
The great Alain Graillot sadly passed away in 2022. This talented and visionary winemaker leaves his two sons, Antoine and Maxime, an estate that stands at the pinnacle of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, having demonstrated for years the potential of the appellation’s finest terroirs. Located in the heart of the alluvial plain of pure pebbles and gravel in La Roche-de-Glun, the estate produces Syrahs that are more refined and structured than most in the region. The strength of these wines lies in the immediate pleasure they provide, even though they are capable of aging with complexity for ten years... or even much longer.
