New vintage, the 2009 was rated: Gold Medal at the 2011 Orange Wine Competition, Silver Medal at the 2011 Vinalies Internationales, Bettane & Desseauve 14.5/20
Located in the heart of Provence, in the southern part of the Luberon, Lourmarin is one of the most beautiful villages in France. Made from a selection of plots at the foot of the village, this cuvée is intense, with hints of fresh blackcurrant liqueur and licorice. It is a full-bodied, round wine with present but silky tannins... A very fine red Luberon!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Marrenon is one of France's most sophisticated cooperatives. It brings together nine wineries, no less than 7,600 hectares of vineyards, and has bottled more than 85% of the Luberon's annual production for 40 years. This is a remarkable feat in terms of quality, as evidenced by a very diverse and comprehensive range of wines. These wines are deliciously fruity, without losing sight of their terroir of origin.
