"In a word, paradise!"
"With aromas worthy of a white Hermitage—quince, brioche, honeyed mint, and spices—the 2024 Saint-Joseph Paradis Saint-Pierre Blanc reaches a new level: balanced and medium-bodied, it offers lovely concentration and well-integrated acidity. Made from 90% Marsanne and 10% Roussanne, and aged for 12 months in barrels (with weekly stirring), this brilliant wine will fully come into its own over the next 7 to 8 years, or even longer if you wish.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2026)

Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
Jérôme Coursodon heads one of the renowned estates in Mauves. The Saint-Joseph wines from this part of the appellation (Mauves-Tournon) differ from those further north, around Sarras, even though all are produced on granite soils. The estate’s reds are often more fully developed than the whites.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Recommended
About the wine:
Aromas of cream soda, vanilla oak, and crème fraîche: a full-bodied wine that caresses the palate with its slightly creamy texture. It offers a powerful finish, where oak and alcohol are in balance, along with a mineral freshness. Natural power. Old vines on granite, south-southeast facing. Malolactic fermentation completed, weekly stirring.

About the estate:
Established for four generations in Mauves, the birthplace of the Saint-Joseph appellation, Pierre Coursodon, the father, and Jérôme, the son—who took over in 1999—manage 17 hectares of vineyards dedicated exclusively to Saint-Joseph, primarily the red variety. For many years, the wines from this estate have been featured in the Guide’s selections: with rare consistency, they are regular recipients of stars and Favorites designations.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
The Coursodon family has been in the wine business since the late 19th century. The estate owns vineyards in the renowned regions of Mauves, Tournon, Saint-Jean-de-Muzol, and Glun. The whites display a lovely character, without excessive oak. As for the reds, L'Olivaie comes from the heart of Sainte-Épine, in the village of Saint-Jean-de-Muzols. However, the most recent vintages struck us as overly assertive, with very pronounced oak notes. The result is wines that are not always easy to drink. We regretfully have to remove one star from the estate’s rating.

About the wine:
An intriguing nose, dominated by ripe, intense pear aromas, with hints of acacia honey in the background. The palate is concentrated, ripe, and rich, without being heavy or overpowering. The finish is long and rich, with just the right amount of acidity to enhance the powerful fruitiness.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
The Saint-Joseph Blanc Le Paradis Saint-Pierre 2024 opens with intense aromas of lemon zest, cedar, and fresh pear, with underlying notes of jasmine. Hints of wet stone lend it a mineral depth. Medium-bodied, tending toward full-bodied and concentrated, the 2024 finishes with a lingering aftertaste and exceptional length on the palate.
