About the wine:
The Macération du Soula reaffirms the estate’s success with white wines, with its lovely bitter notes, full-bodied mouthfeel, and a subtle, refined phenolic finish. It is expertly crafted and a charming wine.
About the estate:
On the beautiful, high-altitude granite terraces of the Fenouillèdes region, northwest of Maury, Gérard Gauby and a few partners acquired this certified organic estate. In 2016, Wendy Wilson replaced Gerald Stanley, who had been managing the estate since 2008. The red and white wines are vinified in barrels according to very natural principles: indigenous yeasts, no acidification, and no chaptalization. Never lacking in freshness or elegance, the reds have recently gained in structure and body. But ever since its first vintage in 2001, Le Soula has distinguished itself primarily through its whites, which have impressed us with their purity and intensity: the blend of Macabeu, Sauvignon Blanc, and several other grape varieties works wonders here. These wines often benefit from being cellared to reach their full potential.

A golden-yellow color. A fragrant nose with notes of brewed tea. The palate is powerful and has good length.
