Wine rated (2025 guide) 90/100

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

A true summer red, Trigone Rouge No. 23 is bold and tangy.

About the estate:

On the beautiful high-altitude granite terraces of the Fenouillèdes region, northwest of Maury, Gérard Gauby and a few partners acquired this estate, which is certified organic. In 2016, Wendy Wilson replaced Gerald Stanley, who had been running the estate since 2008. The red and white wines are vinified in barrels according to very natural principles: indigenous yeasts, no acidification, no chaptalization. Never lacking in freshness or elegance, the reds have recently gained in structure and body. But from its very first vintage, in 2001, Le Soula has distinguished itself primarily through its whites, which have impressed us with their purity and intensity: the blend of Macabeu, Sauvignon Blanc, and several other grape varieties works wonders here. The wines often benefit from aging to reach their full potential.
