"A wonderful invitation to travel!"

Rich and complex on the nose, with aromas of fresh fruit and hints of spice (pepper), L'Oriental 2023 is dense and powerful on the palate, with flavors of black fruit, spice and garrigue, with supple, fresh tannins and a finish of black olive and licorice.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 90/100

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the wine:

L'Oriental is a powerful Grenache, ripe and woody; a little dry at the moment, it needs time.

About the domain :

Back on the family land since 1984, the Parcé brothers first made a name for themselves producing vintage-style mutés sur grains banyuls (vintage, ready-to-drink young), to which they brought a previously unknown precision of flavor and aromatic intensity. Jean-Emmanuel embodies the family's renewal, arriving in 2010. He has reduced the size of the vineyard to 34 hectares of this highly fragmented plot (50 parcels). Sun exposure and altitude vary. He has taken up the challenge of organic farming in this arid landscape, which lives to the rhythm of the sea. The dry reds and whites have become benchmarks, with frank, intense expression. We salute the exceptional consistency of the range, in all three colors, as well as in the VDN, and it's only logical that it should earn back its second star.

About the wine:

Lively, balanced and succulent, with aromas of wild berries, dried herbs, charcuterie and black pepper. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Powerful and tactile, with subtle fruity notes and a mineral touch on the finish. For drinking or cellaring.
