"Golden, round, easy to drink, with beautiful fullness of body." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2019 - RVF) Made mainly from Grenache Gris and Blanc, complemented by Macabeu and Roussane, this Roussillon wine has beautiful depth, thanks to a slender tannic structure, notes of white-fleshed fruit, and a hint of petrol. A perfect wine for Mediterranean summer dishes, such as grilled calamari.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Structured into a dozen plots covering as many hectares, this estate's spectacular vineyard is mainly planted on steep clay and schist slopes overlooking the Mediterranean. It is a property with a long tradition, but one that seems to have lost momentum in recent vintages.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Created in 1982, this 13-hectare estate brings together the vineyards of Vincent Cantié (in Collioure) and Christine Campadieu (in Banyuls), both from old winegrowing families. The estate overlooks the sea from the heights of Collioure. It produces wines of consistent quality, both sweet and dry.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 14/20 (Good wine)
Rated estate (2022 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About wine:
Golden brown, round, easy to eat, nice amount of meat.
About the estate:
Vincent Cantié is wholeheartedly committed to the demanding viticulture of the Côte Vermeille. He seeks to express, in both dry and fortified wines, the character of the grapes (primarily Grenache Noir) grown on clay and schist soils. The dry wines are now remarkably reliable and the Banyuls wines are consistently excellent.
